Moroccan Dynamic Against the World Bank and International Monetary fund Annual

Following the invitation of the Moroccan Social Front, a constituent assembly for the Moroccan Democratic Dynamic Against the Summit of the International Monetary Fund and the World bank was held on Saturday 3 June 2023 at the headquarters of the Moroccan Association for Human Rights in Rabat. This initiative aims at opposing the summit of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank as well as the participation of the Zionist occupation representatives. The assembly was attended by a large number of the organization from the Moroccan Social Front, mainly the political organizations as well as other democratic forces and civil society activists. During the assembly, the participants discussed the role of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund as an essential tools in the hands of Western imperialism, in addition to NATO, to impede the right of peoples to self-determination, undermine their national sovereignty and destroy social achievements. These tools are also instruments used to target democracies and undermine human rights, exacerbate environmental pollution, and destroy nature.

While stressing the responsibility of the Moroccan regime, known for its compliance with the political orientations and diktats of these international monetary institutions, and the danger these institutions bring to the peoples of the whole world and nature, the participants welcomed the initiative of establishing the front, and agreed on a variety of proposals to stand against the activities of the summit which will be held in Marrakech from 9 to 15 October. Therefore, a secretariat has been set up to plan, coordinate and organize the activities and actions that will be undertaken to struggle against this summit, with the aim of exposing the danger that these institutions pose to the legitimate aspiration the peoples worldwide to put an end to imperialist and Zionist domination, and to ensure their legitimate right to autonomous development that meets their vital needs in the immediate and long term.

By the end, the participants emphasized on the collective character of the dynamic and the spirit of unity and mass action among all participating organizations and movements.
