Statement KSRD Ukraine

KSRD Koordinazionnyj Sowjet Rabotschewo Dvizhenija (Coordination Council of the Workers Class Movement), Ukraine, Feb/22/2022

On February 21, 2022, Russia's imperialist leadership officially "recognized" the puppet regimes in the Donbass that it had created in 2014. This was only formal preparation for the start of the full-scale war that the bloody Putin regime launched against the Ukrainian people on February 24, 2022. On that day, the Russian army (and its satellites from the "republics" of Donbass) attacked Ukraine from all sides, from occupied Crimea to western Belarus. The rotten, anti-people Lukashenko regime also acted as a vassal of the Kremlin's imperial ambitions.

Putin's clique has amassed more than 150,000 troops along Ukraine's borders in advance, with plenty of aircraft, tanks, artillery, and naval ships. In his latest speeches, Putin has even denied the Ukrainian people the right to exist, calling Ukraine... "Lenin's artificial brainchild"! Hundreds of Ukrainian civilians, including children, were killed in the first days of the intervention. Putin's barbarians shelled not only infrastructure or military targets, but also residential buildings, kindergartens, schools, and hospitals.

On the other hand, U.S. President Biden, British Prime Minister Johnson and other leaders of greedy Western imperialism have long been stirring up their military hysteria around Ukraine. Thus, in their statements they literally "guaranteed" a Russian invasion in advance, naming specific dates. Such propaganda serves the self-serving purposes of the United States, Britain, the EU imperialists in their struggle for domination over Ukraine and the whole of Europe. A struggle in which they are opposed by the new imperialist Putin regime.

During the October Revolution, the Civil War in Russia, during the formation of Soviet power and the battle against Hitler's Nazism - the Russian and Ukrainian, Belarusian and Baltic workers, all the working people of the Soviet country stood shoulder to shoulder in the struggle for the common cause, for their class interests. Then, after the betrayal of the revisionists in the USSR, the class enemies managed to divide the working class of the various republics of the Union, which became independent countries. The roots of this new war go back there, to the bourgeois rebirth of the Soviet Union. Both Putin and some of the "helmsmen" of today's Ukraine and other political leaders of the post-Soviet countries grew up inside the social-imperialism of the USSR; they bear the worst features of this degenerated system. It is cynicism and greed, contempt for the fate of millions of people, a desire to be in power forever and to enslave other peoples.

The proletarians of Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Poland, the USA and other countries have common class interests! And they do not coincide with the interests of Putin, Biden, Lukashenko or Johnson. There is no such thing as "good" imperialism; it always means woe, poverty, war. To break the back of the imperialists and their machinations, the workers need a socialist revolution! Only then will the working class be able to realize its real vital interests - its own and not those of the various imperialist exploiters.

Down with the imperialist wars!

Proletarians of all countries, unite!
