Contribution to United Front webinar by Ayla Western Sahara

As a young woman member in this youth movement in which we look for strengthening the youth struggle against imperialism and fascism that we face every day.

As long as the great powers are concerned, I just would like to talk about Western Sahara concerning which four sessions are going to be held by the UN Security Council in order to resume the work of the MINURSO Committee which has been formed since 1991 to organize self-determination of the Western Saharian people by means of a referendum.

In this occasion, we would like to inform this movement about this issue in order to strengthen and exercise pressure on the UN Security Council to seek solutions against imperialism by pushing this mission (MINURSO) to fulfill the purpose for which it has been formed, that is the organization of a free and impartial referendum in Western Sahara.

A war of exhaustion is taking place now in Western Sahara, which exposes the Western Saharian women to danger. We are against this war, we are however calling for a referendum to be organized.

Four sessions are going to be held by the UN Security Council now in October. I would like to inform you of this issue in order for you to intervene. This means that if the MINURSO mission concerned with the organization of a referendum for the Western Saharian people is going to be resumed, we want it to be strengthened and we want to exercise pressure on the imperialist powers to enable the Western Saharian people to self-determin its own destiny.

This is the overall contribution that I want to make which is the situation of the Western Saharian women recently.
