Against anti-communist repression! Freedom for Pablo Hasel!

As members of ICOR, we render absolute solidarity with the comrade communist militant and musician Pablo Hasel. We demand his acquittal and immediate release.
On 28 January, the musician and communist militant Pablo Hasel was sentenced to nine months' imprisonment, and on 16 February he was arrested at a University in Catalonia. This culminates a process of politically motivated "legal" persecution. The political repression exercised by bourgeois states manifests itself in various ways, such in the deprivation of resources, thus limiting the freedom of expression for the working class.
The fact that Pablo Hasel is imprisoned is exclusively due to his political views, which was confirmed several times during the trial. Of course Pablo Hasel is not only being persecuted for his songs, but the anger of the most reactionary justice system is due to his communist militancy. He is condemned not primarily for denouncing monarchy crimes but for defending a true alternative, Socialism/Communism. Bourgeois parliamentary democracy is one of the forms of government of the capitalist system and also all throughout the world, the tendency towards fascism is a reaction of that system to the progressive struggle among the masses.
For this reason, everywhere in the world there is more or less open anti-communist repression of our ideology and of those who seek true alternatives to capitalism: attempts are made to intimidate the masses and, as in this case, a scapegoat is used to "serve as an example". This attack on Pablo Hasel, is also a direct attack on the instruments of struggle that we have, the capacity, although quite limited, to express ourselves because "The song is a weapon!"
Like Grup Yorum, Pablo Hasel is the people who shall not be silenced! With their songs, too, we will win! Let their voices be heard!
As the musical group, Grup Yorum, persecuted, tortured and killed in Turkey, used to say: "The will, the ideals and the solidarity are our invincible weapons. Nobody can stop our strength, nobody can silence our voice. They can break our instruments. They can condemn us to prison. But they cannot stop our struggle."
Comrade Müslüm Elma, judged in Germany for his communist militancy, demonstrating the collaboration of German imperialism with Turkish state terrorism, said on its last court statement on 29/06/20: “We come from the tradition of resistance. The accusation of ‘terrorism’ is one of the biggest lies of the 20th and 21st centuries, which the imperialist thieves and their collaborators have constructed to hide the crimes they have committed against the oppressed peoples of the world and to defame their legitimate struggle. But all these lies cannot prevent the fall of the imperialists…We are internationalist revolutionaries, and you cannot judge us. (…) This process will not be decided in the courtroom, but on the street.”
Once again, in the context of rebellion in Spain, the unification of all progressive forces is on the order of the day. Only through active cooperation, with the perspective of an anti-fascist and anti-imperialist United Front, and taking again the words of Comrade Müslüm Elma, also "This process will not be decided in the courtroom, but on the street."
We will not accept this condemnation! We demand acquittal and immediate freedom for Pablo Hasel!
