10 years ICOR - a big step: Forward with the further development of ICOR

Dear friends and comrades around the world! On October 6, 2010 we celebrated in Berlin the founding of the ICOR. That was just over 90 years after the October Revolution and the founding of the III. International. Since then the ICOR has consolidated and strengthened itself and has grown to more than 60 member organizations on all five continents of the world!
The basis of growth and attractiveness of the ICOR are the decided far-sighted fundamental guidelines and principles, when they are actually being lived and realized:
In the face of still many differences among the revolutionaries of the world, we organize ourselves on the basis of ideological-political core questions: revolutionary overcoming of the capitalist/imperialist system; perspective of socialism/communism; necessity of the dictatorship of the proletariat; leading role of the working class; a clear dividing line to revisionism, anarchism and Trotskyism, to hostile attacks and anticommnist outbursts, e.g. anticommunist slander against so-called “Stalinism” or “Maoism”.
Each organization decides itself in which activities of the ICOR it participates - once promised, then reliably.
Step by step we unify ideologically-politically with seminars, monthly discussion contributions on the website and last but not least with resolutions. The ICOR is financially independent! Everyone pays reliably a self-defined contribution. We finance the work from donations and imaginative financial activities. We realize a proletarian culture of debate, mutual respect and esteem for the sovereignty of the member organizations and an open door policy for cooperation with others.

The main task of ICOR is the practical coordination and cooperation on these foundations. It has already taken important steps in this direction:

• On four international days of struggle of the ICOR, the ICOR organizations strive to become active together with demonstrations, awareness-raising meetings and publications.

• We organize practical solidarity in the struggle for democracy, freedom and socialism with the beacon of the Solidarity Pact with the Kurdish liberation struggle.

• A highlight was the ensemble for 100 years of the October Revolution with an international seminar (60 organizations from 40 countries) and activities in St. Petersburg.

• The continental co-ordinations organize joint campaigns or seminars such as on the environmental question, on new phenomena in the imperialist world system, e.g. on the controversially discussed question of the new-imperialist countries.

• The ICOR is an active partner and driving force of non-party affiliated associations or campaigns with other partners worldwide. For example, the coordination of miners and automotive workers and the grassroots women of the world. Worldwide conferences of peasants and farm workers are planned.

• Together with the ILPS, the ICOR has taken the initiative and created essential preconditions for the worldwide building of an anti-fascist and anti-imperialist united front.

• ICOR supports party-building in the different countries and according to its capacities strengthens the voice of the revolutionaries. ICOR seminars, exchange of experiences and delegations on important occasions were and are an important mutual help.

With pride we can say: ICOR has become the living and initiative exponent of the revolutionary associations of the world. Without splits, signs of disintegration or liquidationist quarrels.

But considering the tasks the future poses for the revolutionaries of the world, the ICOR is still in its infancy and still has a lot to learn and to build up. It must put its guidelines and principles into practice consistently and at all times. Above all, it must develop itself further in actual practical cooperation and coordination, recognize even more decisively the burning ideological-political questions of the time, discuss and clarify them, and work consistently in an awareness-raising and organizing manner. We are currently experiencing the deepest world economic and financial crisis, intensified by the corona pandemic. The transition to a global environmental catastrophe is accelerating. Mass poverty, mass unemployment, millions of refugees, hunger, epidemics and wars are attacking and threatening the foundations of human life. The inter-imperialist competitive struggle in the growing number and aggressiveness of the various imperialist forces is intensifying in an extremely dangerous way.
Against this, important struggles and movements of the world, the international industrial proletariat, women, environmentalists and the youth of the world are directed! But scientific socialism still has a relatively weak influence in this.
Therefore, our entire attention must be focused on the dialectics of targeted party building in the individual countries and the decisive strengthening of our international cooperation in the ICOR and the anti-imperialist united front. Today, anti-communism proves more and more to be the decisive obstacle in the consciousness of the masses, for the development of class consciousness and for the decision for the struggle for democracy, freedom and socialism.
The ICOR looks optimistically to the future. We live, work and fight for our socialist, communist ideal of freedom. The political situation in the world is crying for a solution. Never before, alongside the immense destructive forces, have the material conditions for the construction of socialism been so pronounced as today. Let us work even more resolutely to fulfill our historical societal role!
Revolutionary organizations of the world - join the ICOR and the anti-imperialist united front! Draw your consequences from the fact that today the imperialist world system can only be fought and defeated in a coordinated way across borders. Overcome skepticism or doubts and place your trust in the power of our common, critical-self-critical process of learning!

We call upon the member organizations of the ICOR: Be determined in winning members - for the party in your own country, for the ICOR and the anti-imperialist united front. Invest more efforts of your parties in the international work! Strengthen your initiative and activity in the actual practical coordination and cooperation, especially on the continental and regional level.

In 2021 it will be 150 years since the founding of the Paris Commune, the first experience of the dictatorship of the proletariat worldwide. Let us discuss its lessons in Paris with other revolutionaries of the world, apply them to today and unite even more closely!
Forward with the building of ICOR, the anti-imperialist united front and strong revolutionary parties in all countries!
