From Afghanistan: Hambastagi Joined World Afrin Day
Kabul; March 24, 2018: A group of Hambastagi’s (Solidarity Party of Afghanistan) members, representing the tormented people of Afghanistan and the progressive and indomitable forces of the country, joined World Afrin Day, holding a gathering in Kabul. The center of Afrin was occupied by the Fascist regime of Erdogan with the help of previous ISIS forced, now rebranded as Free Army of Syria and supported by Turkey, after two months of deadly strikes and massacre. At the very initial hours of entering the city, alike their Afghan jihadi brothers, they destroy the statue of Kāve ye Āhangar and started to loot the city.
The 24th March was announced as World Afrin Day and Hambastagi also organized a gathering. At the start of the event, the facilitator of the Party said:
“I must congratulate the new year, but in world, where on the arrival of spring season, Farkhunda is lynched, the people of Afrin are having blood bath and the suicide bombings leave every in pain and sorrows, there is no room for celebrating Nawruz.”
Selay Ghaffar, Spokesperson of Hambastagi, said:
“The bright history of the Kurdish people is filled with struggle and resistance against religious and non-religious reactionary forces, and after the epic resistance of Kobani, which enriched their experience, they have not sat in silence and took their fate into their own strong hands.”
The protestors had placards in their hands, having pictures of Afrin’s victims and caricatures of Erdogan. They had some placards with texts in Persian and English: “The atrocities of Erdogan’s fascist government in Afrin is war crime!” “Afrin is not alone!” “The silence of UN and the so-called free world against brutalities of Erdogan in Afrin is shameful!” “Defending Afrin is defending humanity!”
