Concept “Friends of ICOR” (abstract)

“Friends of ICOR” is an organizational form outside of ICOR. However “Friends of ICOR” support the work of the revolutionary world organization “International Coordination of Revolutionary Parties and Organizations” in a spirit of solidarity. Individual persons or groups can become “Friends of ICOR“.

Whoever wants to support the ICOR in a spirit of solidarity and acknowledges the common strategic aim of the ICOR, the revolutionary overcoming of the imperialist-capitalist world system and the building of socialist societal relations, can join the association. A revolutionary internationalist basic attitude and accordance with the basic principles of ICOR are required.

“Friends of ICOR” have the right

to actively support the mutual coordination and cooperation in organizing class struggle and practical solidarity on the international, continental and regional level;
to take part in the public events and conferences and make a practical contribution to the joint activities of ICOR, to disseminate its material and to submit proposals for activities or publications;
to join with other persons or organizations or take part in other affiliations as far as they are not directed against ICOR;
to be informed about activities of ICOR (info letters etc.).

“Friends of ICOR” commit themselves

to solidarity and support of ICOR according to their own possibilities;
to a proletarian culture of debate;
to mutual respect and non-interference in the internal affairs of the member organizations and to the renunciation of attacks on the ICOR and its principles;
to a regular financial contribution to be determined themselves for support of ICOR. This membership contribution is regularly transferred to the respective ICOR finances.

The association membership as “Friend of ICOR” is applied for – in connection with a short presentation of the person/group – at the respective Continental Coordination. In countries where there are ICOR organizations, these are competent. The Continental Coordinations are responsible for membership care and may be supported by member organizations or those appointed and receive material and help for that from the ICC.
