Manifestation mondiale contre Daesh – pour Kobanê- pour l’humanité

Le 15 septembre dernier, l'organisation Daesh a entamé une vaste offensive sur plusieurs fronts contre la ville kurde de Kobanê, dans le nord de la Syrie (Ouest-Kurdistan, dit aussi Rojava). C’est la troisième fois que Kobanê est visée par cette organisation depuis le mois de mars 2014.
Les deux premières offensives ayant été repoussées, Daesh a rassemblé toutes ses forces pour attaquer encore plus fort et s’emparer de la ville. En janvier dernier, les Kurdes du Rojava ont mis en place un système d'administration autonome organisé en trois cantons. Kobanê qui est l'un de ces cantons est longé au nord par la frontière turque, étant encerclé de tous les autres côtés par des zones sous contrôle de Daesh. Daesh est entré dans la ville de Kobanê en utilisant des armes lourdes de fabrication américaine. Des centaines de milliers de civils sont confrontés à la menace d’un génocide. A Kobanê, la population tente de résister avec armes légères contre les attaques brutales de ces gangs surarmés. Pour les secourir, ils ne peuvent compter que sur le soutien des YPG et des YPJ, les unités de défense du peuple.
Voilà pourquoi il est important de se mobiliser au niveau mondial pour Kobanê et contre Daesh
La soit-disant coalition internationale contre Daesh n’a apporté aucune aide à la résistance des Kurdes, bien que ceux-ci soient les témoins du génocide en cours. La coalition n’a pas rempli les obligations auxquelles elle est tenue en vertu du droit international. Plusieurs des pays membres de cette alliance, en particulier la Turquie, font partie des soutiens militaires et financiers de Daesh, et non des moindres.
Voilà pourquoi il est important de se mobiliser au niveau mondial pour Kobanê et contre Daesh
Si la communauté internationale souhaite que la démocratie puisse prendre racine au Moyen-Orient, elle doit soutenir la résistance kurde à Kobanê. Le modèle démocratique de l’administration autonome du Rojava est un exemple pour toutes les populations de la Syrie. Ce modèle est laïc, pluraliste, et permet de réaliser l'unité dans la diversité.

Il est grand temps de donner ce message aux acteurs mondiaux : une autre politique est possible.
Nous encourageons donc tous les peuples de la terre à manifester leur solidarité avec Kobanê.
