Zum Tod von Ka Rida und weiterer philippinischer Revolutionäre
In tiefer Trauer und revolutionärer Solidarität
Für das Zentralkomitee der Marxistisch-Leninistischen Partei Deutschlands (MLPD) richten Gabi Fechtner (Parteivorsitzende) und Peter Weispfenning Grüße der Anteilnahme und der Solidarität an das Zentralkomitee der Kommunistischen Partei der Philippinen (CPP), an die Nationale Demokratische Front der Philippinen (NDFP), an die New People’s Army (NPA), an die revolutionären Kräfte der North Central Mindanao Region und an die Familienangehörigen der am 12. September ermodeten philippinischen Genossinnen und Genossen.
Liebe Genossinnen und Genossen, mit tiefer Trauer und revolutionärer Solidarität haben wir vom Tod der Genossin Julia Cagadas-Lastimosa – Ka Rida, Ka Toyang – sowie der Kämpferinnen und Kämpfer Ka Maki (Rocha Mae Bihag), Ka Doydoy (Tiloy Basahon) und Ka Kikoy (Ringo Lindayo) am 12. September 2026 in Barangay Bakingking, Esperanza, Agusan del Sur erfahren.
Bitte überbringt unsere aufrichtige Anteilnahme den Angehörigen, den Kindern und Weggefährten von Ka Rida sowie den Familien der gefallenen Genossinnen und Genossen. Sie starben im Kampf des philippinischen Volkes um nationale und soziale Befreiung. Ka Rida war über Jahrzehnte führende Genossin der CPP, Organisatorin unter Arbeitern, der Jugend, städtischen Armen und Bauern, zweimal vom Feind inhaftiert; sie stand an der Seite von José Maria Sison in der Rektifikationsbewegung. Sie war zuletzt Sekretärin des Regionalkomitees von Nord-Zentral-Mindanao und Mitglied des Zentralkomitees sowie des Politbüros.
Dass das Marcos-Regime und die AFP ihren Tod als „Beginn der Entwicklung“ und als Freibrief für die Ausplünderung durch den Bergbau in Mindanao feiern, bestätigt, wogegen sie gekämpft hat: gegen die verstärkte imperialistische und monopolistische Plünderung kritischer Rohstoffe und gegen die Militarisierung der Gemeinden von Bauern und Lumad.
Die MLPD verurteilt die anhaltenden antikommunistischen Attacken der philippinischen Armee und die politische, finanzielle und militärische Stützung dieses Kurses durch den US-Imperialismus. Wir fordern von der deutschen Bundesregierung die Beendigung jeder Zusammenarbeit mit dem Marcos-Regime. Trotz Verlusten und Rückschlägen bleibt der Kampf des philippinischen Volkes Teil des fortschreitenden weltweiten Kampfs gegen Faschismus, Krieg, Umweltzerstörung und Imperialismus.
Lasst uns die solidarische Beziehung zwischen MLPD und NDFP/CPP im Geist des proletarischen Internationalismus stärken. Ehre dem Andenken an Ka Rida und die Ermordeten von Agusan del Sur! Hoch die internationale Solidarität! Vorwärts mit dem weltweiten Kampf für Befreiung und echten Sozialismus!

Dear Comrades,
With deep sorrow and revolutionary solidarity we have learned of the death of Comrade Julia Cagadas-Lastimosa – Ka Rida, Ka Toyang – as well as of the fighters Ka Maki (Rocha Mae Bihag), Ka Doydoy (Tiloy Basahon) and Ka Kikoy (Ringo Lindayo) on 12 September 2026 in Barangay Bakingking, Esperanza, Agusan del Sur.
Please convey our sincere condolences to the relatives, the children and comrades-in-arms of Ka Rida, as well as to the families of the fallen comrades. They died in the struggle of the Filipino people for national and social liberation.
Ka Rida was for decades a leading comrade of the CPP, an organizer among workers, youth, the urban poor and peasants, twice imprisoned by the enemy; she stood at the side of Jose Maria Sison in the rectification movement. Most recently she was Secretary of the Regional Committee of North Central Mindanao and a member of the Central Committee as well as of the Political Bureau. That the Marcos regime and the AFP celebrate her death as the “beginning of development” and as a free pass for plunder through mining in Mindanao confirms what she fought against: against the intensified imperialist and monopolistic plunder of critical raw materials and against the militarization of the communities of peasants and Lumad.
The MLPD condemns the ongoing anti-communist attacks by the Philippine army and the political, financial and military support of this course by US imperialism. We demand that the German federal government end all cooperation with the Marcos regime.
Despite losses and setbacks, the struggle of the Filipino people remains part of the advancing worldwide struggle against fascism, war, environmental destruction and imperialism. Let us strengthen the solidarity relationship between the MLPD and the NDFP/CPP in the spirit of proletarian internationalism.
Honor to the memory of Ka Rida and those murdered in Agusan del Sur!
